概論性書目
除權威文學史作品外，下麵這些著作對於研究整個時代也是有用的：E. Norden, Die antike Kunstprosa（3rd edn. Leipzig, 1915, 重印: 1958）；A.D. Leeman論拉丁散文的Orationis Ratio（Amsterdam, 1963）；B.P. Reardon的Courants Littéraires grecs des IIe et IIIe siècles（Paris, 1971）；G. Kennedy, The Art of Rhetoric in the Roman World（Princeton, 1972）。此外還應補充兩本較早的作品：J.P. 個別作家
